Women in Hammersmith will be #Bold For Change

8 March - February 20 2017

Hammersmith United Charities is calling on all women living in Hammersmith to join them in celebrating International Women’s Day on 8 March 2017.

The 400-year-old charity has planned an afternoon of workshops and activities for women intended to provide local women with an opportunity to try something new, meet new people, challenge themselves, discover new talents, be inspired and have fun.

The event will take place at Askew Road Methodist Church, Bassein Park Rd, White City, London W12 9RN, from 2- 6pm on Wednesday 8th March, International Women’s Day.

Activities will include participative workshops on confidence building, running a social enterprise, poetry, boxing for everyone, storytelling, horticultural activities.

There will also be activities for children, a café and stalls with information about local organisations. All activities are led by local women or local organisations.

We will also be asking people who come to think about how they individually will be “bold for Change” and how we collectively as a community might do the same.

We will also be asking local women to send us a message with their thoughts on being “Bold for Change”.

The event has been funded by the Big Lottery and will be free to attend – though we ask people to register to help us plan.

The event is by and for women but nobody will be turned away!
