Stuart Sessions

Clerk to the Trustees

Stuart Sessions has a varied background of management in the charity, public and commercial sector. He was the founding chief executive of Appropriate Technology Asia, an environmental development NGO with country programmes in Nepal, India and China, and Oxfam’s Emergency Programme Co-ordinator. During his time with Oxfam, he set up and ran emergency relief operations and teams in Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Lebanon and the former Yugoslavia, where he was regional director.

He is a former army officer completing higher command training at the Army Command and Staff College Camberley and the Royal Military College of Science. He has also been general manager of a City venture capital angel and a margin trader. He is a linguist and a graduate of the School of Oriental and African Studies. Stuart Sessions was appointed MBE in 1991 and joined Hammersmith United Charities as Clerk in 2005.
